So as far as I know, batteries from mobile phone, power bank etc. are only warm when you use the device or when you charge it. If you just have that thing in your hand baggage without connecting the phone etc. will probably not happen, the same would have to apply to the suitcase.

Put them in the hand luggage and there it won’t be warm because a device usually only gets warm when it is used.

Always take the Powerbank into the hand luggage. Normally, it is not allowed to transport them in the baggage and if it runs badly it can be that your baggage does not arrive at the same time as you arrive at your destination.

or in the suitcase

Tue you can’t do anything. Highest something pure do.

You can store your power bank wherever you want, and if you put it in your jeans.

Why should the Powerbank get warm and burst when nothing is connected to it? In the luggage compartments it is cold, they are not supplied with heating air.

Whether you are allowed to take a bigger power bank at all, you need to ask your transporter because batteries and batteries are subject to restrictions from a certain size.

…because under the plane? It’s warm…

Would you like to know who these are “some” who say that. Why would it get warm under the plane? It flies at an altitude where you eat in 5 minutes, so cold it is there.

“Lithium batteries are subject to a special regulation in accordance with the ICAO travel product table due to the risk of fire that they cause.

Lithium-metal hydride batteries are in principle prohibited on board passenger aircraft.

In other compositions, it depends, inter alia, on the battery power. For private applications (camera, mobile phone, etc.) it applies that they can only be carried in the cabin and in the device. For replacement batteries, the poles must be insulated.”
