In principle, yes, only a lot of shops have decided against cash. However, this is usually informed at the entrance.

No, in Sweden almost everything is paid by card, even the ice cream shop goes by credit card. Besides, it’s not that easy to find an ATM. It is more the exception if no card is taken and then there are clear indications. I would recommend picking up only a small sum of cash at the machine and covering the rest with credit card and EC card.

I just had €150 in SEK in Sweden and even I didn’t get rid of it because you can pay with card everywhere. Of course, the Swedes also take cash, but not very much, because the banks require extremely high fees for depositing, exchange and all possible cash.

It’s not even going to the bank branches! They will send you to one of the cash service providers like Western Union with a deposit note. Then you’re in the city right now to get rid of the cardboard.

There’s no way in the countryside. You really can only pay with cash.

No.

You can’t pay cash in any country. Or do you pay anything in cash in Germany if you buy a house for €300,000?

In Djibouti or such countries, this is safe.

In my hometown a rural inn has been bought. Eyewitnesses want to have seen how the purchase price of over several hundred thousand euros was turned on the table as cash. Then it was converted into a Greek restaurant. It’s a money laundering object.
