I am in NRW and wanted to make a year abroad in America. I’ll go to Abi next year in a professional college.

So you’re doing the Abi in Germany?

Are there alternatives that are paid?

What are you paying for? Your year in the USA?

I wanted to go to a high school too.

So a high school year?

I’ll be under 18 years.

Look here are the conditions for a high school year under the J-1 visa

  • Be at least 15 years of age, but not more than 18 years and six months of age as of the program start date, or
  • Not have finished more than 11 years of primary and secondary school, not including kindergarten; and
  • Not have previously participated in a secondary school student academic year or semester exchange program or attended school in the United States in either F-1 or J-1 status.

And will the year be counted?

Not for your Abitur.

Please read your questions again.

First Abitur, then studies.
And yes, you can study in the USA. It costs a lot of money.

See the answer of stufix2000. In any case, you need to complete the Abitur, there is nothing to be expected.

If you go abroad after the last school year at your current school and then go to the professional college after the exchange year, you won’t get back. You were just gone for a year.
