Can you eat these small yellow passion (flower?) fruits?

Hello everyone,

We're currently in Mallorca and have been here for a week now. Today we moved into a holiday apartment, and in the garden there are passion flowers, or passion fruit/passion fruit, I'm not sure exactly. I have a passion flower myself that looks just like this one, and I once bore a wet passion flower that was yellow/slightly orange, just like this one, but unfortunately it didn't ripen.

These fruits grow all over the garden. Most are still green, but a few are already yellow/slightly orange. I picked a few and tried one. It has little flesh but tastes good.

My questions:

Are these fruits edible? Or should one avoid them? And is this a passion flower like my plant?
