Apps, you mean apps. What else does not work under Android, no matter where you loaded it.

No, iOS is a more closed system, that’s not possible. Android is much more flexible here.

Yes, but also with alternative appstores, this is still comparatively limited under iOS. Apple is now doing this half-heartedly because of the EU directive. If you really want to install all apps directly from any sources without Google or Apple having to give an OK here, you have to grab Android.
