To purchase an echo dot, you need a user account at Amazon anyway. You can listen to limited music on Amazon Music and of course the online radio stations. I also connected my Spotify to the Echodot.

What I like to hear, I have in my playlists in the Spotify… I’ll let them play.

I don’t have an extra subscription for Amazon Music, but I’m Amazon Prime customer.
