Can I move in with my father if he doesn't have custody?

I'm 16 years old and my mother doesn't want to live with me anymore and wants me to move in with my father. I agree to this and so does my father. Can I just move in with him?

If your mother agrees…and she’s sure she’ll have to pay maintenance for you. So why would she want that?

Maybe your father should first try to worry together.

Yeah.

It would be good if your mother signed a power of attorney to your father – for the registration, school registration, official affairs etc.

Your parents can also make statements of concern and help. Then your dad has custody.

Depends on why he has no custody. But with 16 you have the right to speak, your parents have to redefine custody.

Yes, of course. However, it would be useful if your parents would agree on custody and your father would be at least equal. Especially in the case of child money and the tax class, this could lead to a dispute.
