A request for a train number is under https://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/trainsearch.exe possible, maybe it will help you.
… or under train search bahn.expert … but both are not APIs.
Very cool, thank you. Yeah, it’s not an API, but it’s better than nothing. If I don’t find one, it’s very helpful.
For future seekers: The link from the web site is a good way, or the link in the comment (web.expert).
The latter presumably also exhausts the possibilities of the railway APIs, which are payable. There you can even find more information than the internal channels used by employees. Therefore highly recommended.
Try the two here
Thank you, I’ll look again. About 2/3 years ago you could get some out of the free train API’s, but unfortunately not the journey to a train number. But maybe this has changed by now.
So, for future Google searchers and also because an expert has confirmed:
Unfortunately, it is still not possible after the current situation. The only free API in the range can output departures and arrivals to stations. What I’m looking for is there, but everything else about rail transport costs so ridiculously a lot of money that it’s probably just for big companies. Too bad – also in the digital field the train is disappointed. In Switzerland, this is so easy that I am jealous.
But good, then I’m looking for plan data sets or maybe the collective has an API.
