Rather not, IP 54 only protects against light splash water or light rain and also only a short time.

Hello,

important to your question is the second digit “4”. The 4 says protection against (light) spray water from all sides. This should be enough for some pots on moist soil.

However, you should better avoid a strong rain and puddy rides, because IPx 5 (strong splash water) or 6 (radiation water) would be the better choice.
