Can I travel to Vaals with the 9-euro ticket?

I want to travel to Vaals in the Netherlands tomorrow, to the border triangle of DE, NL, and BE. To do so, I have to take the bus from Aachen Schanz to Vaals in the Netherlands.

I read on the Deutsche Bahn website that you can use this ticket both to travel from Germany and to Germany from abroad: The ticket is only valid for travel to and from Germany and not for domestic travel within Austria.

Now I'm wondering if this is possible on the bus from Aachen to Vaals with the 9-€ ticket.

Usually it only applies within Germany. Now, however, there can be local exceptions. On the homepage of ASEAG you will find the following:

“The ASEAG lines 24 to Kelmis, 25 and 33 to Vaals and 34 to Kerkrade may be used with the 9-Euro ticket, as well as the Arriva line 350 to Vaals. Lines 14 and 44 can only be used in German. In the case of the two lines, the national tariff is exceeded.”

However, it is not valid in the Dutch bus line 259, which as the only line of the three countries really drives right up to the common border. Therefore, it would probably be nice to only drive to Vaalserquartier and run from there about 2 km.

No one controls the formula ASEAG anyway;)

If you simply take the normal bus from ASEAG, there should be no problem.

If it’s the first stop behind the border, it’s probably going.

No, the 9-Euro ticket is valid only in the federal territory.
