You can build everything you want. Even a jetliner.

To the rules to let things fly, I recommend google.

But this way, 400 to 500 g at 1.2 m span? Are you dreaming? Recree with ten times at least! And even there you have to be lightweight design expert.

You’d rather be smart enough to build planes. Can you fly?

So, if you’re trying hard, you’re gonna get one to a half kilo.

Don’t underestimate 3D pressure. Firstly, you will hardly have an 800 mm filament printer (or yet what??) and then 3D printing is just constructing anything but trivial. What kind of CAD software and what slicer do you use?

Segment-wise construction has itself.

Balsa wood and polystyrene are lighter than any available PLA.

The whole thing has to withstand forces. Filament prints are quite sturdy but extremely anisotrobious and tend to brittleness, which is actually a no-go for aircraft.

In any case, your plane is only scrap after the first crash!

Can you fly? I don’t think you know more about modelling.

Well, first learn with nem cheap foam model you hunt for 100 Euro filament in the field…

Have fun. It’s getting even harder.

The design is yours or did you find it on the internet?

Wow, okay that’s a serious number… How do you assemble them?

Ok, sounds reasonable so color, even I don’t actually believe in a 1.2 m 450 g plane fully equipped but hey, prove me wrong.

What printer do you use? Do you print the whole fuselage in one part? And the wings?

How many channels does it have? I suppose you use three to save weight of servos, like aileron, elevator and power? What kind of receiver do you use?

Sorry, won’t bother you, just curious 😎

Had this to be posted so fat now?

I’m more like “Oldschool.” But let them do it. So do I.

Yes, but under 500 g/l it becomes narrow. Good balsa is 350 to 50 and is a fiber material.

Then the bush has to build the part segment by segment and needs zig flanges. How to connect? Or better screw? Mag PLA both don’t like soooo. You have to stop, like so much. So if he doesn’t have giant printers and ne super template or finished g-codes, I would leave my fingers off – and I have no idea of planes. But let him do it.

That’s what I thought. Now I’m reviewing. It’s already the Knaller, which brings the LW.PLA filament out of 3D printers. Amazing.

No, it’s not forbidden.

You can build it, it’s not forbidden.
