Can I just do a year abroad?

I'm planning on spending a year abroad in Japan in 2025, but can I just decide for myself? School starts in August in Germany, but in Japan it starts in April. I'm currently in 10th grade, and I'd spend the first half of 11th grade there and then go to Japan. Is that okay? When I come back, I don't plan on continuing at my old school, but rather going to a vocational school and starting 11th grade all over again. Is there anyone or anything that wouldn't allow that? Do I have to get permission for a year abroad somewhere, or speak to someone?

Greetings ❤️

At any rate, you can decide which program start to apply to organisations for which in March (winter departure) or for which in August (summer departure). Whether you’re being taken, of course, depends on it. In principle, you often have better chances in winter departure because most of the marriages want to go in summer departure (which I personally cannot understand, I was even in winter departure).

You have to leave for the year when this is fixed with the exchange organization. This is a bit different from the federal state to the federal state, in my case it was a boring letter to the school office and the thing was good. Of course, you have to tell the school, and you should have a fixed place before departure for wherever you want to go. This is important because otherwise classes are just full at some point and then you stand there without school. This is especially important when you think to change the school.
