This has nothing to do with the length of the track.

Either you have two separate tickets, one for the driveway and one for the return trip or you have a ticket on which both trips are on it. You have to book both trips. With a ticket Cologne-Hamburg you cannot drive Hamburg-Köln.

There are many savings offers with the ICE. However, you always need (ICE) return ticket. Unless you want to stay at the destination.

Where you can go with the ticket is on the ticket!

No. You need another ticket for the return trip.

How do you know? At least I haven’t seen the ticket yet!

Because it’s always that way… Every ticket…? You can only travel with country tickets, queer through Germany Ticket and the 9 Euro Ticket several times, so also back and forth. Partly with weekly or monthly tickets. Otherwise, it would be with day cards, but I think that there aren’t them for ICE, and if you had one like that, you would have said it. A normal ticket is valid for the easy journey in Germany.

You’ve never seen a ticket for back and forth? Seriously?
