Danke 😊

That’s a POTS connection, that’s copper cable. You can initiate the Internet, e.g. three (as at my home). This has to be set extra and needs a special router.

Yes. Works well, but is not a glass fiber, but DSL.

This is a TDO telecommunications socket with 10 connections (at TAE in Germany it is 6). No further doses of this type may be connected in series for DSL.

In addition to the left and right, there are usually still links for fax (triangle) and for TAD (district)

Usually only 2 wires (A/B) are connected. Pins 1 and 5. Sometimes, however, also Pin 2 as ground contact and Pin 3 as an alarm clock or switching contact. However, these are not used for DSL.

If the provider DSL supports via telephone line, you can tap the DSL signal from there via a router. The possible speed depends on the quality of the line and how far you are from the DSLAM. Theoretically, up to 350 Mbit/s are possible, but it is usually more below.

Attention: German TAE cables do not fit an Austrian TDO can.

DSL should go.

It can’t be connected. Have already died with a girlfriend in the wall(lower plaster can) because the dose was probably incorrectly connected…

It’s a TAE. DSL modems can be connected there. However, whether there is a DSL signal and which plug you need to tap it, you have to ask the landlord.

DSL should be possible. But see if you can also have TV cans in the apartment and have cable internet connected. As far as I know, this is the most widespread type of Internet connections in Austria.
