Theoretisch kann man das Geld ja dann immer wieder holen 😉

YES the buyer has to pay to eBay or is not possible a (official) direct payment to the VK. Only when paid via eBay is the buyer protection from eBay.
If I as a buyer do not pay for what, this protection does not exist.
If the VK now writes to the buyer and asks him to make his payment not via ebay.com but private via real-time transfer or PayPal Friends & Family, there is no buyer protection and the VK has its money immediately instead of in up to 20 days.
