Can he accept the package in an emergency?

Hello,

I recently ordered something and the shop only sells to adults, which is no problem for me

Only the date when the order will arrive :/

I'm working that day and don't know if I'll be able to accept the order. Especially since I don't know when the delivery person will arrive, whether it's morning or midday…

In an emergency, if the delivery person comes and I am not there, can my little brother (who is 16) accept the package?

If not, then what?

Maybe it works if you leave your ID at home and give your brother a power of attorney to receive the package.

If the package messenger does not accept it, you should consider whether a second order attempt is the better solution for you, or whether you want to pick up the package at the package service (DHL-Shop). That’s what your brother should communicate.

My brother always took my packages. The package messenger doesn’t even pay attention.

Your brother must be at your home, if the package messenger rings and your brother opens the door, he simply accepts the package and is good:)

I thought the particular problem was that it was a merchandise “only for full-years”. The package messengers can already be stopped not to deliver the goods to minors.

Finally, it could also happen that minors, on the name of their parents or older siblings, order something to the house, knowing that at the time of extradition only they are in the house and thus gain access to the “hot commodity”.

Yes, of course, that is true. can only report on my subjective experiences. With us zb, the package messengers have no time for such things they are always in a hurry and want to leave the thing quickly. They just hand it over directly to the one who opens the door.

My comment was not personally related to you, but only to the general procedure of delivery of packages to full-years. At the conjunctive I used, “It could happen, after all,” you can see. You are not inferior, and you have not ordered anything on a strange name. But how should the package messenger know if your little brother is trustworthy?
