In order to open an account in Germany, a so-called legitimation check is required. This is usually done by showing personal identity cards or passports in one of the branches of the bank. As an alternative to a so-called post-ident procedure in one of the post offices, if the bank has concluded an agreement with the post. Some banks also offer the video identification method at Deutsche Post. Here you have to step in front of the camera with the ID card or passport. In all cases, a very accurate check is made as to whether the holder of the ID is the one that actually stands in front of the switch/camera. To trick here is almost impossible.

This will probably only work with a single twin because of the identity picture.

If he sees the guy on the badge very similar, that’ll be fine.
