I don’t know. There are various statements. In the past, it was said that wave-sittiches look bad in twilight etc., you should dim the light when you want to catch it. Today it is sometimes said that parrots can fly to one in the dark when they call them.

I always read that you should leave a night light (as for children) at night in brittle birds.

However, the hen usually knows the position of the eggs and rolls them around regularly. Probably she could then very well orient herself there and would not have any problems feeding the chick in the dark. After all, during the day, she has only the small insertion hole as an orientation aid. I’ve been brunning a couple years ago. The chick slipped in the afternoon at 5 pm, was well fed and later 10 years old. This made quite an alarm right after the slip, which probably activated the first feeding.

Bedenke: The nest box drives the brood drive. The birds must spend some time in the dark (if they are not otherwise brittle) so that it starts hormonally. So I think that a chick that slips at night usually does not starve.

You won’t get an answer from me!!

Because you deliberately violate the German animal welfare law on the basis of lack of knowledge of the wave attitude !

Or you deliberately provoke here… and are a troll!!

I hereby urge the moderators and administrators to intervene against your actions here!
