So weit so gut.
I would research what company the hotel booked has on offer and if this transfer is included, book there.
Unfortunately, too late. Learned again. Someone downstairs suspected that TUI might not have a contract with a transfer company anymore. That would explain.
If it is not included, you can also book your own transfer. TUI is not obliged to do so because it was evident in the offer that it is offered without transfer. There are enough companies that offer this if you don’t want to drive yourself. Costs accordingly (although you probably get away with less than 356€). I’m guessing you’re going to Hurghada? Here is about 180 dollars for back and forth: https://www.marsaalamtours.com/Airport Transfers/Hurghada-Airport Transfers-To-Marsa-Alam.php
Hello, no not Hurghada, but Marsa Alam. Someone else from a group got a transfer, he seems to be out of it recently. We would have booked an extra one at the TUI for this also a single transfer, but for uninventive reasons there are only car rentals. If it were the USA, I would have understood that, but with a typical tourist destination, at least what should be offered. Minibus or car with driver. I don’t care. We’ll find a way. We won’t even drive with a child.
Yes, the airport is in Marsa Alam, I’m sure I meant the hotel – because you think you’re going 2.5 hours. But as I said, if you enter the route, you should see every amount of transfers (like the above linked zb). If TUI has terminated the cooperation there with a transfer company and has no new ones to date, unfortunately they cannot offer any transfer.
Yes, many business connections have collapsed through Corona, many have also gone broke and there is no longer (we are self-employed and have also received enough). So yes, I think something like that will have happened. I’m also confident you’ll find something. Have a good trip!
That she might not work with any company anymore makes sense. Then maybe that’s the reason. Maybe it’s all over Corona. However, this is a bad company philosophy and rather suboptimal to customers. We’re just talking to the hotel. We’ll find a way.
If you have so booked, it is also so and you must see yourself as you come back from the airport to the hotel and later again.
You write, there was no possibility to book a transfer at all. That’s the reason. But you booked it like that. You can’t expect the organizer to have a transfer from the bag, which he didn’t even offer and never promised you.
There was only transfer not included and not transfer possible. That’s a difference. But it’s just the silly formulations of the industry…
Of course, the tour operator can ask for this! If you book a package trip without transfer to the hotel, you must count on this possibility! Instead of mocking, be glad that you don’t have to go to the hotel on your own by public transport or taxi!
I’ll say that as a long-distance traveler tourist. I have only made a few vacation packages. I usually organized everything myself.
Thanks for the teaching, but I have always booked my life on a flat-rate basis and Egypt (like Turkey, Thailand, Portugal, Spain etc) is a popular destination. I never had a transfer to the hotel. As already written, we would like to have booked one for it and also paid, but TUI does not offer anything. I was just written and the lady traveled at the beginning of the year and got a transfer. Since they do not book a flat-rate, you have other experiences than me. Nevertheless, you could have formulated your advice a little more friendly, thank you.
This is clear before booking.
If you haven’t booked a transfer, you have to take care of it yourself.
Unfortunately, we could not book anything extra when booking on the portal. It was only transfer not included. Now we contacted TUI.com and wanted to book a transfer and TUI said there was no way to get away from the airport except a rental car. So your answer was not very helpful.
I’m sure it’s sober. But you don’t book that before you clear it up.
Can you book anything else? Or are there buses or something on site? Maybe the hotel offers pickup.
I understand. I always take transfer. If this is not the case, the goal is not in question.
Then I would take the pickup, better than drive myself
The hotel offers pick-up for 200,- on. We are also concerned with insurance. When traveling with the family with child, we are always careful. If we do not book about TUI, we might get problems if what is, accident or staying.
We’ve been booking since I think about travel agencies so we don’t have such problems. The office of our trust was unfortunately still closed due to Corona and we booked the first time directly at TUI.com, a flat-rate trip so that we are at least guaranteed (the smaller evil). Unfortunately, this is not for individual bookings.
And now we cannot even book a single transfer with a driver at TUI, because it is not offered at all. That’s the point. Now we’re facing a problem. I would never want to drive in Egypt.
