Can the cell phone be tracked?
Hey, I wanted to ask if this phone can be tracked here. Thanks for the answers! MP myPhone Fusion push-button phone, large illuminated keys, 1.77-inch color display, 600 mAh battery, torch, radio, dual SIM, Bluetooth, mobile phone for seniors, black, push-button phone, senior phone https://amzn.eu/d/avbwEAg
In order for the mobile phone to call, it must be logged in to the mobile phone pole. So you can still notice the mast, even up to 2 years later.
At the same time, the signal strength is also determined and stored. So you can also determine the approximate distance. Mast and mobile phone are talking to the least possible transmission power, which is mainly made to save battery. The distance can then be determined very accurately.
If a mobile phone moves to or away from the mast, a frequency shift occurs due to the Doppler effect. With the high frequencies, this leads to the fact that no longer enough data can be transmitted if the frequency does not fit “perfect”, so you could not call during the ride. This is compensated, the mast and the cell phone also indirectly know the speed towards the mast.
This information is also used constantly. The mobile operators then use several masts, i.e. also masts on which the mobile phone is not registered, and measure distance and speed by several masts. This allows you to determine the exact location of the phone and the speed in any direction with which the phone moves.
This is made to collect traffic information, which is then the colorful lines on online navigation such as Google Maps. The locations of the mobile phones and speeds are entered in a map, so you can immediately see where traffic is. These are not feedback from the navigation software. This can be seen above all by the fact that bus and tram stops are always displayed as traffic jams, because many mobile phones stop at the same time. And hardly any passengers will ever use navigation software.
This is not saved and – by EU law – made anonymous. The operator therefore only passes the locations and speeds without identity. Also, data will only be passed if there is a certain minimum number of mobile phones in the same place. So it is impossible to track someone individually, that goes down to the crowd.
In the case of a police investigation, however, a single, specific cell phone can be located in the same way. The accuracy depends on the number of masts that the mobile phone can receive, but is often around 10 meters, so enough to know which road the mobile phone is moving. And if the police or the rescue service in search of missing from the provider asks, then the quite exact position can be determined. In retrospect, i.e. due to stored data, this is no longer possible because of EU laws – at least not exactly.
If the device is definitely in the mobile radio network. Then you can at least roughly estimate where it is located (to determine a precise location, however, GPS is required).
Yeah, why not?
Through the Sim card, the police can locate as well as any device
If I’m not mistaken
Each cell phone can be located.
Only if it hangs on the mobile network. It’ll be difficult without it.
it always depends when it is on.
In your answer it sounds like you could have a phone at any time and also without Sim etc. That’s why I wrote that under.
yes.. this is logical… 🤦🏼 ♂️
No, if the Sim card is taken out or disabled on a mobile phone, you can’t just place it (at least not with number)
Usually all regular phones can be located.
This can only be located very inaccurately via the radio cell. It is located in cities 500 – 1500 meters and on the plated country up to 10 km.
