Can 1-2 bites of poppy seed biscuits after a few hours cause a urine drug screen to be positive?

Hello,

I have a urine test at 12 o'clock.

Now, lost in thought (08:30), I bought a poppy seed pastry at work and ate about 1-2 small bites.

Would that theoretically be enough to get a positive result?

Hello xrobin94,

In fact, you can find various statements online to see if a relatively small amount of poppy you have taken is sufficient to make a drug test positive on opiates.

For example, you can find a short article here:

https://www.drugcom.de/news/positive drug results-by-mohnbroetchen/#:~:text=Wer%20a%20f%C3%BCr%20 poppybr%C3%B6tchen,but%20weder%20high%20but%20abh%C3%A4ngig.

Thus it seems quite possible that even after the consumption of only a small amount of poppy, the opiate test reacts, especially when the test takes place so shortly thereafter.

Best regards

In the normal case, you shouldn’t have any problems.

A ‘judicial examination’ does not necessarily have to be a drug test.
Normal urine screenings at the doctor test only on diabetes and urinary infections, not on drug use.

The poppy in a pastry is not the same poppy that makes high. There is no drug test
