Rabbit behaves strangely after the death of a fellow rabbit?

I had four rabbits. Two were confiscated by the veterinary office, taken to the animal shelter, and then to me. They were about two years old and had been together for a long time. One of them died, and now the other one is acting strangely. I've already been to the vet, but he seems healthy. We also want to submit a stool sample. Do you think he'll get better, or should I get a fourth rabbit?

Hello,

could be very well possible that your rabbit is in mourning around the lost fellow. After all, they were long and much together. 🙁

Are rabbits even sad? Most rabbits do not notice the grief as much as you want to think. They will be quieter, move less, eat more or less than before and no longer interest in their surroundings.
How do I know that my rabbit mourns around his fellow (death)?

My deep sympathy for the loss of your rabbit.

Your remaining 3 rabbits all conceivable good.

Best regards 🙋 ♀️ +😺 +😺

Then support him best in his grief and make sure he eats enough. You’ll notice when he’s ready for a new partner. After all, he still has the other two.

Animals also mourn. Watch it well and make sure it eats enough

Why did the Veterinary Office seize 2 of your rabbits and then return to you?

That’s true. I’m sorry for the poor Master Lamp.
