My rabbit starts pooping after every poop. I suspect she doesn't tolerate the dust very well, so I'm looking for alternatives for her enclosure. I have hemp mats on her resting areas, and I'm leaving straw on top since my other rabbit loves straw. But do you have any alternatives I can put in my hutch without creating dust? Pellet bedding doesn't work because some of it gets eaten. Thank you very much.

In our living room there is a cage base in the size 160 cm x 80 cm, in which the water bowls, hay, litter, toilet bowl etc. are accommodated.
Our rabbits are free in our huge living room.
We sprinkle the bottom of this cage lower shell about 5 cm thick with Hugro Hanfstreu (approximately half a 100 liter bag) and then 35 liters Bunny Bedding Linum (small chopped, very fine linen), over it two bag Bio Heu from the Ammersee.
Since then our Loisl no longer cuts and it does not dust! Our Resi is not so sensitive.

The Bunny Bedding Linum is available at Fressnapf, the hemp litter from Hugro not.
You should only take the hemp litter from Hugro, the other cheaper brands are not so good and dust much more.
I always arrange it over the Internet, because it is much cheaper and you don’t have to drag it.
I usually buy the Hugro Hempstreu here or at Dehner, there it is still cheaper but currently not available.

Our lower shell is 160 cm x 80 cm and I sprinkle down a half 100 liter bag Hugro hemp litter on the floor and over a 35 liter bag Bunny Bedding Linum.
