Curb bit banned in Germany?
Hey,
I wondered a long time ago whether curb bits are banned in Germany.
I've heard from some that it's no longer allowed, and from others that you can still ride with a curb bit. I actually always see people with curb bits at competitions.
I look forward to your answers.

Of course, candars are not forbidden. It would also be total nonsense
Thank you
No, they’re not forbidden. On tournaments of higher dressage even prescribed. However, it is not possible to use a candarre on classic tournaments of the lower classes. There is an exact rule (performance check order), when which trims and tears are allowed or prescribed.
Why would it be?
The riders who can work with Kandare work with them very carefully.
However, those who ride with it cannot work are usually unrecorded leisure riders.
In the professional area, you can sail hard on the wind, but without kneeling and mast fracture. Not always beautiful, but better to deliver lengths which are not few leisure riders.
The kandare is a bite that requires an independent seat, an independent, soft hand and appropriate skills. Therefore, it is only allowed in the higher classes. Whether these conditions are fulfilled in so many exams L (in my opinion too early) or M by the riders – well, I doubt it!
I’m just glad I’ve been out of the tournament rider for a long time and I can afford the luxury of sagging reins with my Portuguese kandare. However, my thicknesses also wear themselves, approach the bite and actually only need weight and leg aids.
No, they’re not forbidden.
A look at the equipment catalog of the FN would show you that candars are not prohibited, but are even prescribed for dressage tests from M (sometimes even L).
You just need the skills to deal with such a foam.
What Kreti & Pleti do so far away from the regulations… you can often only say: Lord, sneak brains from heaven!
Recently I read on a shirt the saying: βLord, throw brains down or stones – main thing, you meet!β πππ
