A camera is generally never a problem in hand luggage, whether EU or elsewhere. Replacement batteries are also not a problem, they are also put into hand luggage, and for safety stick a tesa strip over the contacts is sometimes required.

Great Britain is no longer in the EU.

In principle, cameras are allowed, but large batteries could be problematic. The best way to go through the flight line’s baggage rules.

EU abroad = another EU country, not a country outside the EU.

Okay. I almost never set such lines.

No. EU abroad is, of course, outside the EU. What you mean is the EU country. Small line – big difference!

That’s garkein problem. If you don’t have 5 different cameras but only one for personal use says no one.

You could also take 5 cameras if they fit into the hand luggage. If you only declare your entry and, of course, all of you will be back on your trip.
Professional photographers are very often on the go with multiple camera cases including massive accessories, is no topic at all. I also flew in hand luggage with 3 cameras and several lenses.

Please read correctly! It’s about not having to do anything. If you take so much equipment (and just travel as a photographer to the UK, for which you need a visa), you have to declare it as you say. This is much more than nothing to do.

So your comment is irrelevant here as it is about a camera.
