Hello, I just planted some Canna cuttings. I'd like to overwinter them indoors. The rhizomes are still small, and the green isn't very lush. Does this work? Without hibernation? Greetings Mayas
Hey, I planted an avocado seed and it's already sprouting and grown a bit. Do you have any tips for caring for it?
The leaves turn yellow at the bottom and eventually brown and then dry out. I suspect a nitrogen deficiency. I've always fertilized organically with a fertilizer with an NPK ratio of 2-2-2. But I probably started fertilizing too little or too late. I've now bought a mineral Compo palm fertilizer with an NPK ratio of…
Hello, I ordered an Alocasia Frydek Variegata and am now considering what substrate to plant it in. I've read and heard so many times that many people have had better experiences with mineral substrates. What do you recommend?
It depends on the cactus type.
But most are pretty easy to care.
They should usually stand quite sunny do not need too often water, but if you pour them regularly and not too strongly, they grow better.
But if you forget it, they usually do it well because they can store water.
Plenty of light, maximum 1* per week, no dams.
You can also stand outside, but watch Frost – any way is different. For some, -2°C is already too cold, others carry up to -15°C. Frost compatibility is better with dry cold.
As already said, there are cactus that may have to be poured every 2-3 weeks and some once a week. My neighbor, for example, has a cactus standing in the garden, no idea how he survives, but I give you the advice to let him in, because cactus need warm, but not directly into the sun, because cactus from Germany are not used to it.
Sufficient light and heat, occasionally pour.
