Is studying law still viable?

Good morning!

Today I heard a stranger say that studying law no longer has a future and that you can no longer earn real money with it.

I think that's pretty nonsense. But what do you think? Does studying law no longer have a good future? Would one then theoretically have to worry about money and other things?

So currently not and in the near future also not. So you can earn good money in Germany.

It could be good, however, that at least some of the lawyers could eventually be saved by the AI development.

In 10 years, each course of study is not sustainable because everything is taken over by AI. So raise feet and relax.

I’d say it’s sustainable because you can’t just replace everything with AI.

I wouldn’t give anything to what anyone says if he didn’t give any reason for his statement (he probably didn’t, otherwise you wouldn’t have to ask us).

Why would a lawyer earn less tomorrow or in 5 years than today? I don’t see why. 🤷

It’s just an idiot. Probably computer science student with undervalue complexes. At our university, we focus on IT:

Basic features (probably) of disruptive technologies and discussion of relevant neuralgic issues from civil, data, immaterial and collision-law perspective (artificial intelligence; Blockchain, Smart Contracts, Tokens, Web3; Industrial robotics and personal care robots; metaverse, etc.); Introduction to IT contractual issues and interaction with the law of intellectual property and the law of data

Law studies are future-proof – if you succeed.
