Job interview?
Hello everyone,
I work in customer service at the bank and will soon have an interview at another bank for the same position 🙂
Now, I don't know how to answer when they ask me why I want to change jobs. I can't say I'm dissatisfied because it's a no-go, or because you can't advance at a bank, which isn't very credible either. And the question 'Why did you choose us?' I also find difficult as a service advisor.
Any tips?
You want to protect yourself from operational blindness, get other impressions, get to know the way other banks operate in this area. That would be a possible argument. All the more if you have been in this bank for more than 3-5 years since the training or the start of your work.
It would also be conceivable for you to be interested in a customer client’s client’s client’s place that is somehow different. So if there’s something different there.
Otherwise, you should analyse the job ad exactly and work out differences to your current job. That would be the arguments, so that you’re exactly on that!
The best reason (and perfectly understandable) is that you want to earn more money.
Why would that be a No Go? The simplest answer is always the most honest, as you are prepared for further questions. These are trained personnel and you notice it to people when it is a memorized and “wanted” answer.
It’s important to be authentic and that’s when you share your real motives. And why you want to change the place, you know yourself.
