Every year when I go on holiday to the Mediterranean with my family, I'm afraid that I might forget something.
Do you know anything like that: two weeks in a self-catering vacation apartment… but what do you really need and what don't you need…!? "Apart from the usual stuff like clothes, swimwear, ID, money, and an extra map." I always have a sewing kit, a small rope, shoe glue, superglue, tape, extra tools for the old car, as well as screws, a tow rope, a full-size spare tire and tire foam, extra car keys, a car compressor, spare bulbs, motor oil, emergency vests for everyone, a breakdown triangle, a first-aid kit, flashlights, an infrared thermometer, a weather station, a spare charging cable/plug (cell phone) battery, a repair kit for the kayak, a first-aid kit, window cleaner, wet wipes, kitchen roll, as well as three cooler bags with a total of 30 ice packs containing drinks and food that should be enough for the 1260 km… Do you have any other ideas? I don't have any jumper cables with me because my battery is new… I don't need a fire extinguisher either…
Drive to assembly for a few years now, where I usually sleep in a hotel for weeks. In the beginning, you always take everything you need in the least. But with time one becomes relatively “negligible” and is less worried.
The most important thing for me is always
– Mobile phone
– Money bag
– charging cable
– Car keys
With these items you get everything you could forget and find everything.
Of course, vacation is something else but if you make yourself a rough plan what you want to do and a small list leads you to vllt 1-2 days before you actually covered 99% everything.
Being ready for the worst case is always good, but for the reason, for example, ADAC has a membership with a foreign security letter where you could simply get help in the event of a breakdown.
Of course, it’s annoying if you forgot something and then you have to buy (euer?) even though it’s around at home.
It happened to me that I forgot things. As a teen, for example, underpants. And then you wash them. Not optimal but goes. It was fortunate winter and it could froze on the heating.
Or the charging cable. And I just bought one, today I find it good to have two.
Or you get out without forgetting, is not always a drama
If I understand you correctly, you will travel on holiday with a saddle train, loaded with your car, spare parts, tools and a few holiday utensils. In addition, the spare parts and tools for the semi-trailer – this could also have a breakdown. So all in all, you’re going to be on vacation with a load of 30 tons and you’re worried about forgetting something…
That’s Paranoia, that’s not normal!
Put your clothes in a suitcase and get into the next plane. On site you can rent a car with pannenschutz. And if you’re hungry, you eat a pizza or go to the next supermarket and buy some food there.
And maybe for the first time in your life you really have vacation…
jup, I know, probably everyone knows.
therefore I have the app grabtor (https://packtor.com/) downloaded. has just ne app and ne web page. there you can create lists and then just hook them off. have 2 lists – one for vacation, one for citytrip. there’s everything I need. took about 2 vacations until I really had everything in… but since then I forget more…
(incl. tasks for müll bring out, load powerbank, lock windows, turn off smarthome routines, etc)
Doesn’t everyone know, look at her profile, she starts planning today and drives tomorrow.
Ehm: medicines, vaccination card, foreign health insurance
from experience: carppi, backpack, sun protection (glasses/cream/…), sleeping mask
We had the subject already,
No wonder if you’re packing for tomorrow.
Hmm, with me is (probably) raised “oversight”.
It could be that you need x/y/z because X/Y/Z happens… In addition, the constant thankful passage “what do we have, what do we need, what if…”.
It has helped me write lists for many years for such cases.
This sounds cumbersome and extensive – but keeps the chaos in the cop in the zombie. What has been written can be controlled – without falling completely into stress and panic through a thousand additional thoughts.
What, just a backup? And what if more than two tires break? So, please four full-fledged spare wheels, and best of all, you will be accompanied by a trailer that will take you to the emergency backpack with your car.
