Jeans suddenly too big?

Hey, I bought a pair of jeans two months ago, and when I first wore them, they were actually a bit tight, but now I need a belt. I know that if you wash clothes at too high a temperature, they'll shrink, but can clothes also get bigger after washing?

I haven't done any diet or any real sports activities, so weight loss is actually out of the question.

Greater garments are not made by washing, rather by leaching because they are older and have been worn a lot.

Did you have more clothes on that day of the first sample?

Undershirt + T-shirt ect. This might explain the difference

Clothing with stretch content can be borrowed by wrong washing and thus become bigger.
