In your question, many biographies come to my mind.

For example, a teenager who has experienced a terrible childhood. She joins a gang and becomes a multiple murderer. As a teenager, she’ll be drug boss. Then she’ll betray and have to spend a brutal time in prison. On the ground she finds Jesus and becomes a social worker for street children. Can even forgive her father she actually wanted to kill. Your biography is unfortunately only available as an e-book. In double band:

Bank robber & Shannon

The author of this true life story has written numerous other biographies about people who came out of the ashes.

A book that also enthuses me:

Before you go

Unfortunately also only as an e-book. The best-selling author Laura Schroff describes 30 true life skills. People who came “from the ashes” thanks to fellow human beings.

If you know in the shadow what you do, that is possible and makes sense
