Hello,

what water do you use? Wire water usually has a slightly alkaline value of ~7,5! You can measure the tap water comparatively. If it was/is needed, you will have to recalibrate the part, perhaps even replace the probe!

It may have to be recalibrated, here a user manual

Extract from this:

Why pH control:

If you want to automate the CO2 intake, you can connect a pH computer (JBL PROFLORA pH-Control Touch) instead of a night shutdown. Once you have to enter the carbonate hardness (KH) of your aquarium water and then the computer calculates the appropriate pH, which is adjusted by CO2 addition. The computer then controls the solenoid valve and supplies so much CO2 until the calculated or desired pH value is reached. The solenoid valve is then closed and opened again, so that the pH value remains stable. The pH measurement of the water takes place via a pH electrode which is NOT contained in the set and must be bought separately. This ensures that you do not receive an aged electrode in the set, but always a factory-fresh electrode!

Depending on how old the device is, it can be on the electrode!

How is the part supplied with power, battery or power supply?

That’s why it can still be on the electrode, ask once where you got the part, whether the 1st was already the case and 2nd how old the electrode is! Depending on the type of electrode, it must also be stored in storage liquid KCI!
