I had a medical abortion very early (at 5 weeks). The doctor said my period would be 4 weeks late. I bled for about a week, and 2 weeks after the abortion, my HCG was still at 15 (before it was 2200). Now I'm surprised, since I haven't had a period for over 5 weeks….

In an IUI, the probability of pregnancy is about 10 to 20%.
So it is not surprising that the first attempt did not work.
