I used to have one, that is to say more precisely, a large-power scooter that could easily keep with a motorcycle: around the 160km/h, Piaggio Beverly 500.

But at the time the engine broke, at least my mechanic said, and he couldn’t raise a new one because this model is no longer built.

What I actually find very bad, because it looks top design.

Instead, Piaggio unfortunately puts on the tricycle shell “MP3”, which looks Kakke. The Beverly versions create only 400ccm today, no more 500 versions.

Therefore, for me, I finally ended up with the (rum) roller, and I moved to the Öffis…

Yes, may be, but 400ccm still sounds like a step back.

Or vice versa asked: Why can’t there be 500 versions at Beverly?

I have motorcycles and 50ccm scooters.
The problem of today’s youth is that the interests have shifted first. In the past, there were no internet or fewer Hobbies that were available electronically / computer moderately. There was mofa / moped / motorcycle.

Secondly, the driver’s license was also much cheaper to purchase, as every third man with car also made the motorcycle driver’s license.

I paid for car 1200 DM in 1987 and for motorcycle 700 DM.

Since today’s youth also has no idea of screwing because of lack of interest, then at motorcycles there is also a workshop, which also costs more, we used to repair everything ourselves.

Motorcycle driving is an expensive hobby. The driving licence + equipment cost min. 3000 euros. In addition, the motorcycle, insurance, maintenance costs, etc. These are a few thousand euros more, which not everyone has in the account. In addition, a car is more practical for many people.

Some might want to go to the big city after school, and to put a motorcycle in a big city is not easy.

Behind this expensive hobby you have to stand 100% behind it and want it.

Yes, but most want a car rather and therefore do not use the motorcycle because both are too expensive together. Motorcycle driving is just fun in beautiful weather

I’d like to have one at some point. But the driver’s license is missing and the money is missing.

Know many at my age who have one

I’d like to have one. I’m not young anymore. M37 has no driver’s license and no room for it.
