Is my budgie dead?
Hello,
I was just about to take my budgie out of the cage and put him on my hand. My budgies aren't quite ready to be handled yet, which is why I take them out in the evening when they're more tired and tame them. I was just taking my budgie out and was about to put him on my hand when he flew off and hit the window. I put him on my hand and went to the sofa. He wiked three more times before he became conscious or died. I have no idea if he's dead or just unconscious. He's crashed into the window a few times, but this time it was probably worse. I don't know if the death or the unconsciousness was due to a fall or not. His skin was already black when we got him from the breeder. He was also bloated almost constantly. Can anyone help me? I don't want to bury him alive.
Thank you in advance.
Whether your waves are dead, you are most likely to notice the lack of breathing (movement of the breast basket), the further soon when the body temperature drops to ambient temperature and the use of the body stars.
You should definitely read an old book on wave attitude and remember its content.
There you will find a lot of interesting things to do with waves and also what requirements the airspace should have.
It is also precisely what the securing of window panes against such unintentional flight accidents with the fall of the animals applies.
Best regards
You should first read textbooks or other guides about holding waves, what you do is not at all. I myself have also had ones for the last few years and would never come to the idea to take them out in the evening when they are tired and to tame. Shaft tracts do not have to be tamed, they are handcuffed by themselves. No bird likes to be taken in the hand (on the hand already, but not in the hand).
In addition, you should hang curtains in front of the windows, then your birds will no longer fly against the slices (this only shows the more clearly how stressed they are by being so careless; you should stop that.)
Does he still breathe or moves his chest? Does anything look broken? Phone with a veterinarian emergency service in your area
You could go to the vet or try to check his heartbeat. See if he has the normal body temperature or is colder. Otherwise, you have to leave him in the house for a few days to check if he’s really dead. Good luck.
Put him down and wait till tomorrow. Then you know.
