Is my foot broken, help?
Hi, yesterday I twisted my ankle while walking down the stairs and then it cracked loudly. I can't walk at all anymore. Walking hurts a lot near my ankle. I can hardly turn or move my foot until the pain comes, but I don't have any bruises, but my foot is thicker.
means
Load capacity: absolutely not possible not even 1 cm without extreme pain
Mobility: hardly possible until severe pain occurs or it feels like a blockage
Hematoma: no
Swelling: yes
Where does it hurt: outside of the right foot near the ankle down to the little toe
Luckily, all users here are able to give you a clear statement about whether you have broken something or not… Why don’t you just go to the doctor that you have to ring in doubt
“Ottawa ankle rules”
he actually supplied enough important information… but Hey as an internist you don’t have to deal with orthopedics anymore;-)
I am pleased that there are users who can confirm or exclude a break based on the specified information 🙂 But with your Rescue Course, you can also judge it better than me after 6 years of study!
moin doesn’t know if this is now sarcastically meant or not my question behind it was also whether you would leave it out and whether you think it’s just upset
if you come by an orthopaedic the random X-ray has in his rooms he will make you so or so X-ray because he has to earn money with you.
Apropo through all my professions I’ve learned, you wouldn’t be able to get doctors on the front, info on the edge.
you can not read after 6 years of medical studies, I am also physiotherapist so regularly has to judge crap from surgeons, and no I massage no one;-)
But I forgive you not to read the inability;-)
I’m sorry for you, but if I understood it correctly in your announcement, it’s a break or it could be broken.
I’ve had several fractures in my life and I’ve always heard it crack.
Monday to the doctor.
Put an ice bag on it and it’s good.
Begib Gich in a surgical emergency. This can only be clearly recognized by means of an X-ray image.
To the emergency room today. If a break has to be operated, it’s better if it happens today. I once had a postponed wreck in my wrist on October 3rd. He was operated the same day late in the evening. The wrist is fully functional again.
Go to the doctor. There’s no one with X-rays.
