Is my film overexposed on my analog camera?

Hello

Yesterday, I shot the last photos on my analog SLR camera. Then I rewound the film. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention. The lens cap was on the lens, and I pressed the shutter. The exposure time was correspondingly long, and I heard the shutter close after I had already rewound quite a bit. My question now is:

Is my film ruined? Or is it okay because the lens cap blocked the light?
I look forward to helpful answers 🙂

It probably didn’t get much or even garkein light to the film when the lens cover was on it. And depending on how fast you turned back, the film had little time to be exposed.

So I wouldn’t worry about it. Worse would have been if there was no cover on it. You were lucky again.

An overexposure is very unlikely, the reasons have already been mentioned.

For dust protection reasons, the lens cover should be quite tight and therefore the probability is very large that no light has come to the film.
