It is almost impossible to define what constitutes a good driver. As a former professional driver with two million car-kilometres, I know what I’m talking about.

Regular driving practice is an important parameter for assessing this issue, and as a rule only people with proven and extensive driving practice come to these jobs. It is to be assumed that, under the pressure of claims, they adapt, optimize and therefore drive better than the average.

It has not yet been said whether they are going privately; but in order to keep the driving licence necessary for the profession, they will endeavour to do so.

With “impossibility of defining a good driver” I mean a description of the good driver that would be accepted by every driver as universal. Almost every driver sets different and different priorities in his assessment.

Not necessarily.

If I see how ruthless some taxi drivers are, I’m not sure if they still know the rules or behave like that intentionally.

With the driving of taxi drivers, I’m on a war foot.

Bus drivers drive much more.

These are routined drivers, but not necessarily better drivers.

Whoever drives the same tour every day makes it lack of attention over time.
