The Kurds were already mentioned indirectly in many mesopotamic texts, e.g. in Sumerian and Akkadian writings. They were already known as “mountain men.”

Turkish originated from the Turks of Central Asia only when the relatively small group conquered the country. The conquerors have blended with the locals and thus Turkish emerged.

Kurdish there was so much longer.

Actually difficult to answer, but Kurdish as a part of the Indorian languages has historically a longer development behind it.
