I bought it today on June 15, 2022. It says June. Does that mean it's valid until the end of June or until July 15, 2022?

Da sind halt alte, teilweise runtergerittene IC Waggons unterwegs. Dann sind Flixzüge von den DB Leitstellen abhängig, hakt es sind es die letzten, die die Strecke bekommen.
Flix hat nur deshalb geringere Priorität, weil sie absichtlich langsame Billigtrassen bestellen. DB Fernverkehr zahlt schlichtweg die höheren Trassengebühren.
Ob DB oder nicht macht da keinen Unterschied.
Flixtrain ist halt größtenteils deutlich günstiger, bitte dementsprechend aber auch geringer Qualität an. Die Wagongs sind alte IC-Waggons und es gibt kein Bordbristo/Resturant.
Zudem haben diese bei Verspätungen geringer Priorität.
