Is it normal that I can read fluent Russian after 5 days?

I'm Russian and I speak Russian very well. If there were a points system, I would give myself 7 out of 10. The remaining 3 would be considered advanced university level.

Well, until recently, I couldn't read at all. Then I started for fun, learned the letters, and then read a little bit at a time.

Now I suddenly can.

Is it normal for it to happen so quickly?

Reading alone goes fast. You should also understand what you read.

I don’t see a problem with the questioner who’s Russian himself.

I do! What do you think I’ve met with Russians?

I do not want to undermine the status of the questioner. I only know him out of his question!

If there was a point system, I would give myself 7/10 points. The remaining 3 would be high university level.

Such self-assessment can be very deceptive.

It’s pure practice. Well, that’s normal.

Yes, the Cyrillic alphabet also has a non-russe in 2 hours.

I don’t know if it’s normal. But with your positive experiences, you might as Motivator provide very good services for (still) illiterate (also other languages) !
