Ist es normal, dass der Hamster nicht im Schlafhaus schläft?
Hallo, ich habe mir vor drei Tagen meinen ersten Hamster (Teddyhamster) zugelegt. Zuvor habe ich mich natürlich über die artgerechte Haltung informiert, und deshalb unter anderem 4 Häuschen in seinem Käfig platziert.
Davon sollte der Hamster theoretisch eines als Schlafhaus und das andere als Toilette benutzen. Leider ist das bei meiner Hamsterdame nicht der Fall, sie hat sich gleich in der ersten Nacht ihr eigenes Plätzchen gebaut, in dem sie nun den Tag lang zu einer Kugel zusammengerollt schläft.
Außerdem benutzt sie einfach den Platz neben ihrer Höhle als Toilette, obwohl da eigentlich gar nichts steht.
Ist das normal? Wenn nicht, was kann ich dagegen machen?

I have the hamster from a breeder with over 15 years of experience, so I’m not worried about it. Of course, it is also not a cage, but a wooden one, if I am not mistaken he is 115x60x60.
It has not faded, but rather has become entangled, that it is now raised in just this place, with a reduction in which it is then surrounded by the “walls”, but without a roof. (I don’t know how to describe it)
One of the houses has two chambers, but all have an open floor and most two different entrances. In one of them I have hemp fibers, the others are just standing on the litter.
Sounds good, then I don’t think this has anything to mean. She’s probably gonna have to live properly for the first time, that can go well 1-2 weeks in which she just needs rest.
Too warm (over 25 degrees) isn’t it? This can rarely be a reason, but I’d rather pretend if it’s not on the glass itself.
Only two additional tips: I would buy a house with at least three chambers, such houses from Getzoo, jams or also Rodipet are very good and popular. The three chambers are then: dormitory, toilet and fodder chamber or partially “input area”. Three chambers are very popular and also important.
The other tip: For more nest material, you can either give capo wool or unprinted, unparalleled toilet paper torn apart and just put it out. The hamster can get it and bring it to his nest 🙂
