Is it hit and run if I signal the injured party to follow me into a parking lot but he doesn't come with me?
Hello, today I was standing in front of a roundabout with lots of people around it, which is why I couldn't really see if a car was coming from the left, so I drove carefully into the traffic at about 10-15 km/h. Suddenly a Mercedes came from the left at about 30-40 km/h and swerved into the middle island of traffic. I tried to brake in front of it, but my brakes didn't work properly, so I swerved to the right because I had space there for him to get through. Then he complained, of course, and drove back. There was no external damage to his vehicle, so I stood still with him for a moment, then I waved him to follow me out of the roundabout so as not to impede the flow of traffic any further. I drove slowly out of the next exit at about 10 km/h in first gear, but he didn't follow me and shortly afterwards drove off in a different direction.
Am I committing a hit-and-run or something similar with my actions, and could I be charged with something similar? I tried to clarify the matter with him, because I don't want the person to suffer any damage because of me, either to the car or physically, but he just complained and ignored my request to obey. He also didn't activate his hazard lights.
No, no driver’s curse because there was no accident.
But be glad you would have been guilty with your badly functioning brake.
So go to the workshop and make your car safe.
Jap that is why I also asked because he would of course have had an advance, the brake was not functional for the first time, but yes it will be brought to the workshop tomorrow by towing service thank you very much!
If there’s no damage, you can’t handle a driver’s curse.
If your brake does not work properly – turn off the car, call the tractor and bring it to the workshop.
Yes he is with the left tire over this curb but the island was full of meadow so no obstacle to which he could have gone further and no damage can be seen he also drove back quickly to complain sixh yes stop and then he continued
