Holiday homes should be bought, not financed.

And Immoblien must always be sold on site, the bank in Germany cannot make an opinion and assess the risk.

I wouldn’t think about it even if there was enough money. Such an object makes unfree. In winter, someone has to worry that nothing freezes or muffles. In the case of rental, guests have smoked or all messed up.

And then you are forced to drive to the same place every year.

I find it more comfortable and at the end also cheaper to go to the hotel and not to save. And if it’s really great, I’ll be back. And if the hotel or the surrounding area leaves, or I feel like something else, I have no obligations.

So: better to rent a stock deposit or a return home for rent, and travel with the well-covered credit card .. then you don’t have to worry about anything, except what you do the day or where you eat 🙂 vacation.

Instead of asking here, you should contact your bank. She likes to tell you how many million euros you can have. Of course you need security, except your name is Benko.

Can she if you take the mortgage on a paid property in Germany. Otherwise, a local bank has to finance.

Whether this is a good idea depends on the numbers.
