Is simple sugar often good for health for the blood circulation system?

The World Health Organization WHO recommends that a maximum of 10% of the daily calorie intake should consist of free sugars. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends an even stricter limit for added sugar of not more than 100 kcal per day for women, not more than 150 kcal per day for men and not more than 24 g sugar per day for children and adolescents.

Absolutely. A healthy body does not need this sugar

Yes it is because the body is not dependent on it. What it really depends on are long-chain carbohydrates. But not simplest cheap simple sugar.

What is “simplified sugar”? Never heard the word.

If you mean normal industrialized sugars: you can live very well without these! Our human body is able to produce even sugar. We also need it vitally.

Unfortunately, we are all so sugary and addicted that we can’t live without industrial sugar…

What is “simplified sugar”?

One of the simple sugars (monosaccharides)

  • grape sugar (glucose), predominantly in honey and sweets,
  • fruit sugar (fructose) in fruit and
  • Schleimzucker (Galactose) in milk and dairy products.
