Is an RTX 4060 compatible with my PC?
Hello, I'd like to finally upgrade my GPU from a GTX 970 to an RTX 4060. Now I'm wondering if my PC is compatible with this card, or if I need to upgrade something else? I'll just list everything:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 4500
Power supply: 750W
Motherboard: MSI A520M-A PRO
RAM: Corsair 16GB
Existing GPU: MSI GTX 970
Thank you in advance!
Hello,
yes – the graphics card is compatible with the system. But I advise you about buying. You have a card with only 8 GB VRAM, that’s just too little. In addition, the card is only connected via x8. This is negative in the system (which runs with PCIe 3.0), as performance is lost. With an RX 6750XT you can handle both problems and don’t really pay more.

Too little for what?
€54 more for the graphics card.
Only for Office and YouTube and Netflix and so the 54 € are spent for free if you don’t do shock.
If that were the case, the FS would not want to upgrade…

Whoever made my demand with -1 is an insult.
Your system looks good overall for an upgrade to the RTX 4060. Here are some important points:

Your power supply is definitely strong enough. Can you do, but the ryzen 4500 will affect your GPU a little.
With the motherboard and the memory should go
