Is a QuadLock bad for the camera?

I've often heard that if you use a QuadLock or other brand of cell phone mount for your motorcycle, the image stabilization will eventually cause problems.

How bad is that?

What are your experiences with cell phone mounts on motorcycles? What brands and models do you have (cell phone and mount)

Hello,

yes, the camera can permanently damage the standard holder. For this reason, the manufacturer also offers its own vibration damper that should work quite well. I did not test myself, however.

Any fixed connection to the Motorad can cause damage to cell phone cameras with mechanical stabilization. If a rubber element is installed somewhere on the holder, this then looks different.

With SP Connect(“Anti Vibration Modules) and Quad Lock there are extra vibration dampers.

Because of better readability and glove operation, I do not use a smartphone for two-wheel navigation, but a Garmin Navi(GPSmap66s)

I heard. I myself have been driving Quad Lock with vibration damper for two years and had no problems yet.
