In the main, we naturally buy regional and seasonal food when it is available and it is fruit and vegetables. Otherwise, water/beer/wine and other products (e.g.: eggs, meat, honey) from courts of the surrounding federal states.

You don’t get certain things in D.! Then we take them from other EU countries, and in some specific things we go away from each other.

We take from within and outside Europe strictly no products that are produced in countries that we do not want to support and would possibly also never leave there. Example from quite earlier times: South Africa because of apartheid then. Nowadays there are others…which is our sole thing!

And, as a general rule, there are many things in us to tune the inclination with our feet, not just when eating. Boycotts of all kinds are very common to us!

Regionality and seasonality are extremely important to me – I don’t have to have food from all over the year…

The more I can enjoy what the season is…;)

If I read the answers, every provider of e.g. Egyptian potatoes and New Zealand apples would have to go broke. But it’s not that… In the normal supermarket or even discounters, astonishingly more and more products are offered which grow here in sufficient quantity. .. and I don’t understand why you buy.🥴 . With southern fruits like bananas and oranges it is possible to understand..

Deshab gives asparagus, strawberries etc. only later in the year.

Meat and milk products I’m just buying if I know where it comes from. That makes it much more expensive, but it is important to me.

I also care about seasonality. I don’t need strawberries from Morocco in winter.

Why not olive oil from Greece?

Depends on that. Recently, I bought more Belgian pears. That’s all right.

Even berry fruit, apples and asparagus are only seasonal, i.e. domestic.

I deliberately don’t buy anything from Germany as I don’t want to support this sick system, but as regional as possible, best of the small meater.

We are largely self-catering, we have our large farm garden, the rest we buy at our village caravan or village baker in the village.

No strawberries from Spain, no Greek asparagus, no exotic southern fruits in winter, etc.

All ecological bullshit!

Strawberries from Portugal in December need no human being in Germany.

If I prefer not only seasonal but also regional products.

I recommend a docu in which it is shown how they are preserved before loading so that they can survive the transport route to Germany. Then the theme of “gance-year-old strawberries” is eaten…🤢🤮

No. I just drink a bull and smoke. The strawberries will certainly come smoothly.
