Is this laptop worth it?

Hello!

I'd like to buy a used laptop, and this model is quite high-quality. The problem is, I don't know if it's worth it. It's been used for four years. Here's the info:

To this day, the laptop still runs the latest games at over 40 FPS on almost the highest graphics settings, and some games even run on "Ultra" without any loss of performance.

Since it was purchased, it has only been standing on a raised desk to protect it from overheating. The fans were constantly blown out. Most of the time, it was only used as a "desktop PC", i.e. with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard, and therefore has little to no wear and tear on the screen and control surface.

The only flaw is a scratch on the back of the screen, which is only visible in raking light.

Never needed repairs, always kept up to date and maintained.

Specifications:

* Lenovo Legion Y540-17IRH

* 17 inch screen

* GPU – NVIDIA GeForce RTX2060

* 32.0 GB RAM

* Intel Core i7-9750H 2.6Ghz

* 64-bit system

* Windows 11 Home

* Ports: USB 3x, speaker jack, LAN, HDMI, Mini DP, USB-C

* Power supply with 230W 20V

* Bluetooth + Wi-Fi

* Webcam + microphone + speakers (very good for a laptop)

* If required, a warranty extension can also be purchased from Lenovo

* Purchase price at that time (~2020): € 1899.00 at Otto Versand

Hello, I was going to take the offer, but if you’re going to zoom it’s not just about RAM. This is why my laptop has only 16 GB of RAM but it has I7. Please don’t think what a BMW has to do with it, I’m also how good you can Zocke.

If you see the answer tell me if the laptop has I again. From I5 the good zoker can.

Friends made me answer bye!

Depending on the price, 4 years old hardware is basically scrap from the residual value, because an uneconomic repair can occur at any time and becomes more and more likely.

Personally, no matter how the performance is, I would pay 20% of the new value after 4 years. Upgrades don’t matter because you can’t wait the core components and make up the function. If something of cooling gives up the mind, you’ll be quick at something between 300 € repair and core scrap.
