Hello!

That depends on the destination!

When traveling within the EU it is not needed – but if you want to fly to Japan or the USA very well!

It therefore depends on the provisions of the destination country whether the number is requested or not.

Hope could help, greetings

Usually not, no. I didn’t even use it for the USA a week ago.

No.

In Germany, you can go to a plane without showing an ID/pass, you can book flights on Micky Maus and then fly.

(Of course, only intra-scenes, otherwise a state passport control takes place and you do not come to the gate).

No, not always, especially because on many connections or within the EU no passport is necessary for entry.

has never happened to me

the passenger himself is responsible for the validity, because it can be rejected because it expires
